Impressions Forestry Fair 2023
After a four-year break, the forestry fair was held again in Lucerne from August 24 – 27, 2023. As usual, our “pallet booth” was located in the same place in Hall 2, booth C03. The following machines were placed at our booth: a W-40 cable winch, a W-24 cable winch, a crawler winch, a Slackpuller carriage, a Universal carriage, an HY-2 carriage and various accessories. Despite the sweltering heat, we welcomed many visitors to our booth. A big thank you at this point to all the visitors who did not shy away from the heat and stopped by.
About the forestry fair itself:
The 26th International Forestry Fair attracted a total of 22,000 visitors. The fair began with the traditional opening ceremony, which was attended by renowned guests who addressed the audience with impressive words. During the four days of the trade fair, the 12th Swiss Woodworking Championships and the Stihl Timbersports Swiss Championships put on a spectacular show on the outdoor area: the motivated participants competed in various disciplines for the coveted title of Swiss Champion and put on an impressive show for the audience. In addition to the competitions, there was a new catering and event tent for all visitors, the “Holzer-Treff”. In addition to gastronomy, the “Holzer-Treff” also provided ambiance and entertainment and was eagerly visited. This year, Codoc was once again the contact for forestry training issues and presented in the special show “Treffpunkt Forst, Forêt, Foresta” how the technical aids for forest management have changed over time and what we can expect in the future. An impressive robot dog demonstration made it clear that the digital age has long since begun in the forest.
The next forestry fair will take place from August 21 – 24, 2025.
